Meyer'" The two blocks of time when I could travel to Europe would be May 27 - June 16 and August 14 - September 18. The first is just 3 weeks. The second is 5 weeks, of which I would plan to be away no more than 3. We will be on Nantucket August 6-13. If Nathaniel decides to go back to Berlin in May, I would prefer to wait until August-September to travel to Germany, and I would very probably want to make the trip, and I think that it's likely that Laura might want to come for part, but not all, of the time. She might also want to negotiate to travel part of the time alone with me in Great Britain. If Nathaniel decides to stay in Belmont, I am less sure whether I would want to go, and when. I think it also less likely that Laura would want to go, because a decision by Nathaniel to stay in Belmont would probably reflect a state of turmoil and uncertainty, and she would not want to leave him. I could also, obviously, spend time during those periods in Konnarock, on Nantucket if we had something to do there, or hiking either in the White Mountains or in the Canadian Rockies.
